This cannot be ignored

Seriously. I planned on saving this for the next Trailer Watch, but I can't.

Let the record show that I like Kristen Bell (ignoring that stupid movie about phone calls and death). Veronica Mars was pivotal to my high school years. I loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I was excited for When in Rome. Now, the trailer itself is kind of blah. A bit goofy and gimmicky, but hey, at least it's kind of a new twist in the love comedy story line. Granted, it would also be a better trailer with different music. If you've ever read this blog you might understand the critical importance of the right trailer music. However, there is a line that is crossed in this trailer. The line was skirmished by the Jennifer's Body trailer when it listed at the end credits of the trailer a list of bands who's music will be featured in the film, but this...This will not stand. Granted, it's a pretty crappy trailer, but come on. The last twenty seconds should NOT be dedicated to the SOUNDTRACK. Those precious seconds should be devoted to selling the film. Now, instead of thinking about the film, the audience this contemplating which of the bands they do or do not like. They aren't thinking about the film or the cute actor or hey, wasn't that Danny Devito.

So, to whoever put this trailer together, Shame.
